No Respect Records was founded in 1991 by Ramon Zenker & Jens Lissat.
The first release "Who Is Elvis" by Phenomania became one of the first worldwide techno-hits ever. A lot of german techno artist of the 90th like Juergen Driessen, DJ Hooligan or Nils Ruzicka did their first releases on No Respect Records.
After releasing more than 70 EPs and 4 Albums in the genre of Techno, Hardtrance and Trance the releases were stopped in 2000 - but the label exist still today.

In the mid Nineties a new style of dance-music arose, combining hard techno beats / bass lines accompanied with melodious chords / synth-lines and a lot of catchy vocal samples.
This music was being played at festivals and raves at that time, and it still is.
From German clubs like Tunnel / HH, EFX / HH, Posion Club / D-Dorf, or Ultraschall / MUC this sound first spread to Belgium and then to the UK. After that it became a worldwide phenomenon. This compilation features many of the all time favorites from that era like: Mega 'lo Mania, State Of House, Interactive, Kamasutra, Perplexer, JL, Hardfloor and many, many more.
